Ring Size Guide
Find your perfect fit
Every Daniel Aquil piece is made to be worn, not just admired — and that starts with the right fit. This guide walks you through how to measure at home, how sizes convert across countries, and the free resources available so you can order with confidence.
01 — The Basics
What Is a Ring Size?
Ring size is a number that corresponds to the inner measurement of a ring. In the United States, sizes typically range from 3 to 13 in quarter-size increments.
A well-fitting ring should feel snug yet comfortable. It should slide over the knuckle with a bit of resistance and sit securely at the base of the finger without feeling tight, staying in place through daily wear without constriction.
How to Measure Ring Size02 — At Home
How to Measure Your Ring Size
Four simple ways to find an accurate size, with or without a sizer in hand.
String Method
Wrap a thin strip of paper or string around your finger. Mark where it meets, then lay flat against a ruler. The measurement in millimetres is your circumference.
Existing Ring
Place a ring that fits well flat on a ruler. Measure the internal diameter from inner edge to inner edge in millimetres, then use the conversion chart.
Best Time to Measure
Fingers fluctuate with temperature and time of day. Measure at the end of the day when fingers are at their largest — ideally at room temperature.
Wide Bands
Wider bands (4mm+) fit more snugly than narrow ones. If ordering a band wider than 4mm, we recommend sizing up by half a size for comfort.

07 — Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
If you already own a ring that fits well, you can determine its size by measuring the inner circumference or by placing it on a printed ring size conversion guide. Align the inside edge of the ring with the circle that matches most closely, and the number associated with that circle indicates your size.
Ring sizes are measured using the inside circumference of the ring, typically in millimeters or inches. In the United States, Canada, and Mexico, sizes are expressed as numerical values. Other systems, such as those used in the United Kingdom, Europe, and Asia, use different scales, including letters or alternate number ranges.
Wrap a flexible measuring tape or a thin strip of paper around the base of your finger. Mark where the ends meet, then measure the length in millimeters or inches. That measurement represents your finger circumference, which you can match to a size using a ring size conversion chart.
Use a ring size conversion chart to compare an existing ring that fits well, measure your finger using string or paper, order a free ring sizer for at-home precision, or visit a jewelry store to have your finger professionally measured. Professional fitting offers the most accurate results.
A ring size chart displays numerical sizes alongside their corresponding measurements in millimeters or inches. Locate the row or column that matches your finger circumference. If your measurement falls between two sizes, it's generally best to size up for a more comfortable fit.
Ring sizes are not standardized globally. Different countries use their own systems, some based on numbers, others on letters or millimeters. For example, a US size 6 is approximately equivalent to a UK size L 1/2 or an EU size 52. Within the same region, ring sizes are generally consistent across brands.
